BOR-LYTE B.V., led by our fellow Florenz Buß, has been named one of the 100 most innovative companies in the Netherlands in the KVK Innovatie Top 100, 2026. It is a fantastic achievement for the team, who are developing borate-based materials for next-generation energy storage, technology that could transform how we store and distribute renewable energy.

Lumox secures NWO early phase funding for light-activated cancer therapy
Lumox, founded by Irati and Sebas, has been awarded €449,900 in NWO Take-off Phase 2 funding for a two-year project. Their venture is advancing a groundbreaking approach to cancer treatment: a medicine that remains inactive in the body until activated by light at precisely the right place and time. The funding will support patient identification, regulatory validation, and scaling the manufacturing of this innovative therapy.

DXcrete secures funding from the Brabant Startup Fonds for wearable kidney monitoring
DXcrete, founded by our fellow Emma Moonen, has secured funding from the Brabant Startup Fonds to accelerate the development of BEA, a wearable patch that measures creatinine in sweat. This breakthrough technology offers patients with kidney disease a non-invasive way to monitor their health between clinic visits, no needles, no lab visits, just continuous insight into their condition.
The funding will support further development of the BEA platform, building the clinical and market partnerships needed to drive adoption, and growing the team. With this backing, DXcrete is one step closer to bringing continuous kidney monitoring into everyday life. Read more →
