Fourteen new fellows earn a spot in the Faculty of Impact program

16 April 2024

While the fellows dedicated to sustainability and energy transition are in the final phase of their Faculty of Impact program, the selection process for the second call has concluded.

Thirty candidates responded to the Life Sciences and Health (LSH) call, and fourteen of them have been selected. The chosen fellows all presented ideas with the potential to make a societal impact, demonstrating both the desire and potential to become entrepreneurs.

Their projects address health problems and enhance quality of life. They range from attempting to find new medication for Alzheimer’s to developing a detection camera for esophageal cancer and cancer medication without side effects. These are just a few examples of the potentially high-impact projects these researchers are working on.

The selected candidates will gather just before summer for an introduction to the program and each other. The program, in which they have two years to translate breakthrough research into business ventures, will commence after the summer.

Fellows are excused from teaching and other responsibilities for the next two years, allowing them to concentrate fully on their research while receiving intensive guidance from experts in entrepreneurship, intellectual property, and investments at the Faculty of Impact. We’ll soon publish the list of fellows.
